#1: Getting Started with Fiverr SEO
SEO is the first step to getting more sales on Fiverr. If you don’t know what SEO is, it stands for Search Engine Optimization. It’s a way of optimizing your gigs so that they show up in search results.
When you’re starting out, it’s important to make sure that your gigs are properly optimized for SEO. If you don’t, you won’t get any traffic from the search engines.
There are a few things you need to do to optimize your gigs for SEO:
Choose the right category. If you’re selling a gig that doesn’t fit into any of the categories, create a new one. Make sure that your gig title is keyword-rich. Your gig title should be between 60 and 70 characters long. Include your target keyword in the first part of your title, but don’t overdo it. For example, if you’re selling a gig about dog training, your title should be something like “Dog Training: How to Teach Your Dog to Sit”. The main keywords should be in bold.
Use your target keyword once in the first paragraph of your description. You can use it again in the second paragraph, but don’t overdo it. Make sure that your description is at least 300 words long. The first sentence should be a strong attention grabber. The second sentence should be about the benefits of your gig. The third sentence should be about the target audience.
You can also use your description to link to relevant resources that will help you rank higher in search engines. For example, if you’re selling a gig on how to write a press release, you can link to the Wikipedia page on press releases.
If you’re not sure what keywords to use in your description, you can use Google AdWords Keyword Planner. This tool will show you the search volume and competition for a given keyword.
#2: Optimizing Your Fiverr Profile
Fiverr is a micro-service marketplace. That means that you’re competing with other sellers who offer similar services.
To stand out from the crowd, you need to optimize your profile page. Here are some tips: Include a short, clear description of your services. This should be between 50 and 200 characters. Use this space to describe what you do in the most compelling way possible.
Use a high-quality profile photo. You can upload a professional headshot or a picture of yourself in action. If you’re not sure what to use, try using a stock photo. You can find them on sites like Unsplash and Pixabay.
Include an audio or video introduction. This is a great way to show off your personality and passion for your work.
Add a link to your website or blog. This will help people find out more about you and what you do.
Fill out all the fields. The more information you provide, the better.
Write a compelling bio. This is your chance to sell yourself and show off your skills. You can also use this space to promote your products or services.
Use keywords in your bio. This will help people find you when they search for your skills on LinkedIn.
#3: Optimizing Your Gig Title
When you first create your Gig, the title will be automatically generated. It will include your name and what you do. This is a good start, but it’s not enough to attract attention. You need to take advantage of the keywords in your Gig title.
If you’re a photographer, for example, your Gig title might be “Photographer – New York City.” This is fine, but it doesn’t show off your skills or your personality. You can use the following tips to create a more effective Gig title:
Use keywords in your Gig title. This will help people find you when they search for your skills on LinkedIn.
Include your location in the title. This will help people find you when they search for local services.
Include a number in your title. For example, “Photographer – New York City (10+ years experience).”
Include the word “professional” in your title. For example, “Professional Photographer – New York City (10+ years experience).”
Include the word “specialist” in your title. For example, “Specialist Photographer – New York City (10+ years experience).”
Make sure your title is relevant to what you do. For example, “Specialist Photographer – New York City (10+ years experience).”
Keep your title short and sweet.
#4: Optimizing Your Gig Description
In the “About” section of your Gig, you have a few lines to tell potential clients about yourself and what you do. The goal is to get them interested in hiring you for their project.
What NOT to Do:
Don’t write a novel. Keep it short and sweet.
Don’t repeat what you wrote in your title. Your potential clients will see that when they click on your Gig.
Don’t write a bunch of unnecessary details.
Do:
Use action words to describe what you do. For example, “I am a photographer who specializes in capturing beautiful images of newborn babies and their families.”
Write about your best work.
Tell potential clients why they should hire you.
Here’s an example of a good “About” section:
My name is Tom and I am a professional photographer based in New York City. I specialize in capturing images of newborn babies and their families.
I have been a professional photographer for 10 years, and I am proud to say that my clients are always thrilled with the results. My goal is to create beautiful images that capture the essence of your family.
I’m looking forward to working with you!
Include a link to your website.
Make sure that potential clients can easily find out more about you and see your work. Link to your website in your profile.
Here’s an example of a good “Website” section:
I have a website where you can see more of my work and contact me. You can find it at www.example.com.
If you don’t have a website, include a link to your Facebook page or other social media profile. If you don’t have any of these, include a link to your email address so that clients can contact you directly.
#5: Optimizing Your Reviews
You can also use your profile to help potential clients find your reviews. In the “Reviews” section, you can add a link to your Google My Business page (if you have one) and a link to your Facebook page.
Once you’ve got a few reviews, you can ask your customers to leave reviews on Google and Yelp.
Google My Business allows you to ask for reviews in the app. You can also put a link to your Google My Business page on your website. Yelp allows you to ask for reviews in the app. You can also put a link to your Yelp page on your website.
If you have reviews on other sites, like Yelp or Thumbtack, add links to those pages as well.
#6: Creating a Good Listing Image
If you’re a massage therapist, photographer, or another service provider, your profile picture is especially important. It’s the first thing potential clients will see when they visit your page.
You can use a photo of yourself another service provider, but it’s also a good idea to use a professional headshot. You can get one taken at a local photography studio or use a free online tool like Fiverr.
#7: Promoting your Gig
Once you’ve created your profile, it’s time to promote it. You can do this by sharing your profile link on social media and other online platforms.
To make sure people see your page, you should also use Facebook ads.
You can create a custom audience of people who are interested in your services. You can then target them with ads on Facebook and other social media platforms.
